Actress Sandra Bullock stars as Ruth Slater in the Netflix original movie The Unforgivable. The drama centers around Ruth as she is released from prison and into a world where no one wants her.
According to reviewers, "The Unforgivable proves Sandra Bullock is more than capable of playing against type..." See Bullock at her best outside of comedy.
Andrew Garfield - Tick, Tick...BOOM!
The 2021 film Tick, Tick...BOOM! is based on the autobiographical musical written by legendary Broadway playwright Jonathan Larson. Playing the role of Larson is none other than Academy Award-nominated Actor and Tony Award winner Andrew Garfield.
Directed by Hamilton writer and star Lin-Manuel Miranda, Garfield also stars alongside Venessa Hudgens in the film.
Charlize Theron - The Old Guard
Academy Award-winner Charlize Theron plays the role of Andy, a centuries-old immortal who is pretty much the leader of a rag-tag group of mercenaries. The film was met with great reviews, allowing Netflix to move forward with a sequel.
Discussing the movie, one reviewer wrote, "Director Gina Prince-Bythewood brings a sophisticated vision to the superhero genre - and some knockout action sequences led by Charlize Theron."
Chris Hemsworth - Extraction
While Chris Hemsworth is arguably best known for his role as Thor in the MCU, his performance as black ops mercenary Tyler Rake in Extraction on Netflix shouldn't be overlooked.
The film follows Rake as he is dispatched to find the kidnapped son of an Indian drug lord. Of course, nothing is easy, and Rake is double-crossed. This is one film action-adventure film lovers won't want to miss out on.
Melissa McCarthy & Octavia Spencer - Thunder Force

Idris Elba - The Take
Honestly, Idris Elba is fantastic in any movie he's in. In this case, it happens to be the action-adventure film The Take (released as Bastille Day overseas) where Elba stars as Sean Briar, a rogue CIA agent. He teams up with a pickpocket to stop a terrorist organization.

Insert Leslie Rodgers, the lady who helps Parker get what he wants.
