Gather round; it's time to learn which television shows have been renewed for a new season and which ones are getting the boot and have been canceled.
From the renewal of The Boys and The Crown to the cancelation of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Schitt's Creek, there are bound to be some happy and sad tears while going through this list.
The Crown: Renewed
The period series The Crown has viewers pretty entranced. A critically award-winning series, the show covers the inner workings of the royal family when Queen Elizabeth II takes the throne, including the drama between Princess Diana and Prince Charles.
With 117 awards to its name, it's no surprise that Netflix decided to renew the series for a fifth season.
Bridgerton: Renewed
The Netflix original series Bridgerton pretty much became an overnight sensation. Following the love stories of the eight Brigerton children in the Regency era in England, fans couldn't get enough of the drama, love, and re-imagining of the period.
Due to the show's popularity, Netflix has renewed the show for a second season.
White Lines: Canceled
Unfortunately for people who were intrigued by the mystery surrounding Zoe Walker's brother's death in Ibiza, the journey is getting cut short.
After one ten-episode season of White Lines, the powers that be have decided to cancel the show, not renewing the thriller series for another season on Netflix's streaming platform.
The Boys: Renewed
When The Boys first found its way on to Amazon Prime in 2019, the series soon became all of the rage -- superheroes fighting against the organization that wishes to control them.
Fans are going to be happy to learn that the critically acclaimed series isn't going anywhere, having been renewed for a third season.
Cobra Kai: Renewed
Getting its start as nothing more than a YouTube show, Cobra Kai has made quite the name for itself. Starring the guys from the Karate Kid, the series brings back Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence to battle it out (or, their students do) to see whose dojo is the best.
The show became widely popular when it dropped on Netflix. So much so that after three seasons, the streaming giant has decided to renew it for a fourth.
Better Call Saul: Renewed
The origin story of crooked lawyer Saul Goodman is laid out for Breaking Bad fans in the spin-off series Better Call Saul. After learning how Jimmy "Saul Goodman" goes from a terrible lawyer to a criminal lawyer isn't just interesting, but intense as he mingles with the other side of the law.
Renewed for another season, there's no telling what is in store for Saul.
Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina: Canceled
In 2018, fans were reintroduced to Sabrina Spellman in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Sadly, Sabrina's adventures of huddling being a half-mortal half-witch have come to an end after four seasons.
According to Netflix, the cancelation of the show came as one of many "unrenewed shows" during Hollywood's production mishap of 2020.
Black Mirror: Renewed
The modern-day Twilight Zone, Black Mirror, has been renewed for another season. An anthology of weird, quirky, and all-around mind-blowing episodes dealing with technology and the human experience isn't going anywhere.
Since there have already been five seasons of the series, it's going to be insane to see what the writers come up with next.
Transparent: Canceled
The term dysfunctional family takes on a whole new meaning in the comedy series Transparent. For Mort and his children, their stories are about to go back in their vaults because, after five seasons, Transparent has been canceled.
After allegations were made against one of the main actors, it was decided the show's fifth season was going to be its last.
Schitt's Creek: Canceled
The Rose family didn't know what they were in for when they lost all of their money and had to move away from their luxurious mansion to the small town of Schitt's Creek. Fans also didn't know what they were in for when they decided to follow the hilarious stories of Moira, Johnny, Alexis, and Stevie.
Sadly, their story on the creek has ended, and the series had a sixth and final season.
Snowpiercer: Renewed
Aboard a high-speed train circling the frozen wasteland of a globe, the survivors are trying their hardest to stay alive in Snowpiercer. Continuing where Boon Joon-ho cult classic film left off, this series had a shaky start to production.
Thankfully, everything paid off, and it is now being renewed for a fourth season.
Emily In Paris: Renewed
Lily Collins plays the title character of Emily in the popular Netflix series Emily in Paris. Moving from Chicago to the romantic city of Paris to work and, ultimately, find love, this series became an overnight sensation.
The good news for the fanbase is Emily and her friends aren't going anywhere, as the series has been renewed for another season.
Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj: Canceled
The talk show Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj gained widespread attention for the host's discussion of the political landscape while throwing some hints of satire into the mix.
Unfortunately, after six seasons, the "groundbreaking" talk show has been canceled. It sounds like Netflix is still working on its original talk show programming.
Sex Education: Renewed
Otis and his mother Jean are back and more educated than ever in the renewal of the critically acclaimed series Sex Education. Life is never boring for Otis, living with a sex therapist mother who is all too ready to educate him on the finer forms of being an adult.
Fun, funny, and yet pretty realistically dramatic, fans of this series better get ready for the fourth season!
Narcos: Mexico: Canceled
A spin-off of the original Narcos series, Narcos: Mexico, takes viewers back to the origins of the war on drugs between the head of the Guadalajara Cartel and the ever-present Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
Sadly, the fast-paced action has been canceled. On October 28, 2020, it was announced that the third season of Narcos: Mexico would be the last.
Titans: Renewed
Based on the Teen Titians comic books, Titans follows the story of Dick Grayson as he and his fellow heroes and sidekicks fight against evil in various cities, including Gotham City, Detroit, and even San Francisco.
The live-action reimagining of the DC characters has been well received, enough for HBO to renew the show for another season.
Into The Badlands: Canceled
AMC's series Into the Badlands attempted to take the concept of a post-apocalyptic landscape and throw some really cool martial arts into the mix. While it captured viewers' attention for a while, it wasn't enough for AMC to renew for another season.
As it turned out, the third season was the series last.
Virgin River: Renewed
Nurse practitioner Melinda "Mel" Monroe moves from the big city to the remote Northern California town of Virgin River in the drama series Virgin River. Considered "comfort viewing," the series has a remarkable 90% on Rotten Tomatoes after three seasons.

The story of Christy and Bonnie Plunkett left viewers laughing at the wholesome and funny mother and daughter dynamic. Starring Anna Farris and Allison Janney, the sitcom Mom ran strong for eight seasons before it was canceled.
The cancelation came on the heels of Farris's departure from the show in 2020.
Lucifer: Canceled
The devil is in the details, and this devil is finally going to figure out what he should do with his life in the final season of Lucifer. After saving the series from an early cancelation, Netflix picked it up and set it on a new path -- with Lucifer winning the throne and becoming God.

Good news for fantasy fans, The Witcher is renewed for another season. After a bumpy start to the series, the legend of Geralt of Rivia and Princess Ciri is back and ready for some mind-blowing adventure.
Even with mixed reviews of the first season, Netflix is set on releasing a second season.
Glow: Canceled
The glitter, spandex, and ring are coming to an end. The comedy series Glow had a stellar three-season run, full of laughter, fighting, and '80s hair. Ruth Wilder and the other Hollywood misfits had a nice run in the ring, but 2020 saw production shut down.
Instead of moving forward with the final season the studio reopened, Netflix decided to cancel the final fourth season.
